    Empire Total War |review

    Post  Mrconfus3d on Tue Mar 17, 2009 3:58 pm

Empire: Total War is the fourth installment into the series of Total War games by Creative Assembly. The game was released on March 3rd, 2009 in North America. That same day Nvidia released a new update on their graphics cards which fucked up a lot of things for Empire Total War, which is why i recommend all ETW gamers not to download the latest drivers released by Nvidia. Anyways, back to the game. The game has many new features such as a more sophisticated government system, amazing graphics, Naval battles, Being able to build forts outside of the city and upgrading key buildings such as farms and towns inside your boundaries to increase population, increase income, increase happiness, meet the populations demands, and trade. This game is made up of two genres, and that is, real time strategy and turn based strategy. The naval battles are just amazing with stunning graphics and the extent of how realistic the battles are with reload timings, damage to the ships, and the unit to performance ratio. That is, the less men you have, the less efficient your ship is and destroying the other ship and vice versa. Land battles are stunning and drop you right into the thick of the American Revolution with George Washington leading the American armies against the British. There are more then enough nations including all native americans (Cherokee, Iroquois, etc.), The French, British, Americans (formerly The Thirteen Colonies), Sweden, Prussia, And many more that i just cant remember atm. This is the largest game, which does cover the whole world. Not just Europe, Asia, and Africa (like the previous Total War games). This is a must buy for all RTS gamers. The lowest review this game has received is an 8.5 from gamespot, which is still really good.
    My rating?
    10
10 for everything. This game has nothing to be disappointed about other then a few bugs, but lets not forget it hasnt been a month since release.
