Yeah, so what do you think? If you were going to play a new mmorpg today, would you pay to play monthly or find something that is a one time pay or just free?

My Answer:
I would pay monthly to play an mmorpg.

My Reasons:
1- Help issues are resolved much faster then free to play games
2- Pay to play games are usually more thought out, and have a good and very long storyline, or, pay to play games usually have funner ways of leveling up. For example, take WoW. Anyone you ask who has actually played the game, not a private server, really enjoy doing quests and grinding or whatever it is to get to a higher level.
3- PvP is a lot funner
4- There are no advantages on paying for items. You are all equal, and it is all in the game
5- Servers are maintained well

i dont wana pay monthly for games i just want a fun game that doesnt cut my money

I like pay to play MMORPG games as long as there's no "side" system. What I mean by that is that there's no pay for items, so everyone has the same chance. My favorite MMORPG/RPG/FPS game was Tabula Rasa.
